RAKI Coaching Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

RÄKI is hiring part-time coaches to work in Huntington Beach!

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide a high quality 1hr lesson

• Responsible for running gym space, including arriving 10 minutes before each lesson, maintaining a clean space, managing equipment, and properly locking up.

• Regularly checking your app/texts from RÄKI administrators to be up to date on your schedule. Communicating with administrative staff any updates after a lesson. (i.e. scheduled semi-private turned private) 

• Ensure you are prepped for each lesson. Some athletes require more prep than others. Check their client profile for notes and current updates.

• Ability to efficiently coach up to 3 athletes in a single lesson.

• Ensure each new client is provided a RÄKI T-Shirt.

• Regulate the flow of the gym and/or lesson, ensuring efficiency and no dead time.

• Take pictures of new clients and send them over to our social media manager to post on our instagram.

• Utilize video during the lesson. Air dropping to clients after the lesson.

• Providing each athlete with mentorship that is unique to them.

• Building a bridge between parents and RÄKI when they drop off their kids at the gym.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 6+ years of volleyball experience (1+ year of collegiate volleyball experience preferred) 

• Thorough knowledge of the sport and of ALL positions

• Clear communication skills that are translatable to all ages/levels

• Ability to think on your feet, come up with game plans/solutions/adjustments on the go

• Confident coaches/athletes who understand the uphill battles they have also faced

• People who love mentoring the youth through encouragement, positive energy, and zero judgment
